The Sanger Initiative

May 13, 2006 Press Release

The Sanger Initiative research team recognizes that one of the chief obstacles which stands in the way of mankind’s potential to evolve and progress scientifically is the influence of “dark age historical interpretation methodology.” What we mean by this quaint phrase is simply this: Minds are inspired, shaped, limited, and even controlled by the literature and media they are exposed too. Scientific improvement finds its primary foundation in the ability of individuals to be modern, freethinking, logical and rational beings. Therefore, as man continues to evolve and new information, statistics, and data are being discovered, his understanding of law, absolutes, the nature of reality, historical interpretation, and all other fields of thought must also reform with the times. Without this necessary process man’s ability to progress scientifically is not only severely crippled, it is virtually dead. Furthermore, any forum whereby access to the thought patterns of those who were not as far developed in their knowledge of society as is the modern scientifically astute generation, will inevitably enslave the victim to the same knowledge impediment as is contained by the author. Consequently, when a person is exposed to outdated historical resources, his ability to reason outside the framework of the author’s comprehensive conception of the world is gradually exterminated. Continuing to regurgitate the myths of the past, when new updated facts reveal evidence to the contrary, is a sure method to strangle the natural process of societal and scientific development.

This is why The Sanger Initiative has decided to begin a new project, appropriately entitled “Historical Improvements.” This new aspect of our organization’s mission includes taking advantage of recent discoveries of new and insightful data, and updating the interpretation of all historic documents and events to a more enlightened conceptualization of the facts. We believe that this will allow students to study and learn from the past, without having to compromise their intellect by the futile premises of ancient authors. More importantly however, this new understanding of analyzing and interpreting history will allow us to enlarge our conceptualization of the ways in which history affects organizational adaptation and evolution; making us unrestrained by the past and therefore equipped for a more bright and successful future. We are excited by the possibilities that this may have for our organization in the future and in an effort to make the cutting edge of modern thought readily available, we are hoping, over the course of this coming year, to open new public libraries, museums, and have on sight contemporary interpretation available at many historic locations. We hope that you will consider standing with us in this new endeavor.
