Established in 1983, The Sanger Initiative is a non-profit organization devoted to research, publishing, and promoting solutions to the economical, racial and political problems of our day. The Sanger Initiative is for freethinking and intelligent humanitarians who desire to take an active role in sanctifying the social patterns of society via genomic research and implementation, historical analyses and interpretation, and in the delivery of high-quality, large-scale resources of lasting value to the global research community.
We at The Sanger Initiative recognize the socially myopic state of our present age and thus seek to show alternatives of hope and victory for the victims of poverty, disease, war, crime, genetic defects, cruelty, unemployment, drunkenness, and indecency. The various archaic religions lag behind in a state of inefficiency, just as they always have. Indeed, the cultic bloodhounds of superstition have never been the friends of happiness, progress or freedom, but have continued to trample the rights of social equality into the mired down bondage of religious slavery, thus providing comfort and security only to the non-rational. It was against this institution, against the State, against the silence of the medical profession, against the whole machinery of dead traditions of the past that Margaret Sanger arose to proclaim a message; a message to end the abominable injustice of oppression, to weed out defective inferiority, and to strive onward toward unknown heights of potentiality, prosperity and happiness for all of mankind. The spirit of this “heroine of humanity” lives on. Where is our hope of victory and social orthodoxy? It is in us. It is in science. It is in the indoctrination of the next generation with the truth. This is the mission of The Sanger Initiative.
